The Rifleman.

Not exactly typical for the time period. Classic 50s show. Fancy shooting and strong jaws.

I'm also a sucker for many of the spaghetti westerns. I also like goofy stuff like that The Three Amigos.

Ohhh I’ve never seen the rifleman thank you! Spaghetti westerns are good!!! I also like samurai movies because those are basically westerns too! And the three amigos is fun πŸ˜‚

You're correct that baby samurai movies are conceptually related to westerns.

One of the best crossovers is the most The Magnificent Seven.

The original Japanese movie is excellent on its own, but I'm often amazed at how much of it came through in the americanized version. It's also really hard to beat Yul Brenner in any role he ever played.

Right!! The samurai have swords instead of guns like the cowboys do but same mood!! Putting β€œThe magnificent seven” on my list too β˜‘οΈ

Good!

And yes! But also many samurai did also use firearms, just not off the same sort that cowboys used.

Well yeah but I mean in the movies they have way more sword fight scenes and the cowboy movies have way more gun fight scenes!!

There are modern movies with both stores and guns used in mostly equal measure. If I remember titles, I'll pass them along.
