I will pay attention to this. I might have to try this. I have my big outdoor fryer, which I love, but this might be nice for a smaller job honestly, my outdoor fryer only takes 10 minutes to get heated up, if that, and it fries everything perfectly at the right temp. Plus, I fill it up with peanut oil about every 2 or 3 years, lol. It's awesome. I might filter it once a year, depending on what I fry in it.

I love using my Instapot for other things. I use the pot for my Sous Vide machine also. I just had to buy another one because the stupid thing requires an app, and apparently Joule sold out to Breville and now the app is crap and I can't get it to work. It sees the Joule device and goes to register it but says it can't find a wifi even though I have wifi on my phone. I can't figure it out so i just ordered one and made darn sure no app crap.
