Choosing to buy Bitcoin proxies or, even worse, selling BTC to buy Bitcoin proxies, because "tHeY cAn PeRfOrM bEtTeR bRo" is no different than buying cRaPtOs because they might go up nominally more than Bitcoin over a certain time frame.

All that tells me is that you don't understand Bitcoin and what you really care about is fiat gains, not freedom money.
