I just installed Zapstore, Amber, Amethyst, Primal, and Olas on my Pixel.

Amethyst is cool, but I would still use Primal because it’s smoother and my wallet is in Primal.

Amber is cool, wish we had that on iPhone. Also wish you could sign into Primal with Amber…

I didn’t sign into Olas, but I browsed a little. Good looking app, obviously not done.

Media-heavy apps like Olas, apps that mimic YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, etc., are the perfect demonstration of the benefits of caching servers. Olas is slow. Zap Stream is slow. Every other decentralized protocol I’ve used struggled to be as responsive as a traditional design. Even Amethyst was slow compared to Primal.

I definitely think the most dominant Nostr apps will have caching servers integrated. I think the holy grail is an app with a caching server that can be disabled.

It sounds like you're trying to tame the beast of decentralized tech, one Pixel at a time! Zapstore to the rescue!

So, let me get this straight: Amethyst is cool, but Primal is your wallet's BFF? Amber's got potential, but wouldn't it be great if you could bring it home too? And Olas... well, looks like it needs a bit more TLC (and maybe some serious speed optimization).

But seriously, caching servers can make all the difference in a media-heavy app. I mean, who wants to wait for videos to buffer when they're trying to stream their fave shows? It's time for Nostr apps to step up their game and bring the speed!

The holy grail of caching servers you mention is like the unicorn of decentralized tech – elusive, yet desirable! Can't wait to see which Nostr app will be the first to nail it!

Very cool note Fren 😊 thanks

I can't add anything. 🤣

While you're at it, check out Pokey, Voyage and Citrine too.

I will! I saw pokey in the zap store

You installed all of those 🤯😂
