Romulus, a soldier, and Silvanus, a deacon, stood firm in the face of Emperor Maximian's persecution. Refusing to offer sacrifices to idols, they confessed Christ. Dragged before the altar, they overturned it, defying the pagan rituals. Enraged, the Emperor ordered their tongues cut out, but they continued to praise God, speaking clearly. Finally, they were beheaded, their faith unwavering until their last breath.
