Your Nostr app might have built in DMs, but DMs are kind of a mess on Nostr. There's an old legacy method with less privacy that major clients like Damus and Primal still use and then there's more private DMs that other clients like Amethyst, 0xchat, and others use.

I don't like Keychat because their original implementation was to not use your existing Nostr keys and wanted to generate new keys, making things confusing for users. I wasn't a fan of this and haven't looked at the app since then. I can't give accurate thoughts on its current state.
I want to confirm with you: are you aware that the default DM end-to-end encryption in 0xChat and Amethyst does not provide forward secrecy and backward secrecy? If you are aware, you should clearly state this when making recommendations.
