Is the idea to expand the keychat protocol to work with public notes as well?
So for private notes:
- author pays, not reader(s)
For public notes:
- reader(s) pay, not author
Private note = giving to mail man
Public note = printing in newspaper
The user either pays for the mail man or pays to read the newspaper ?
This is an excellent analogy. Public video notes especially require a “newspaper model,” where both the author and the relay receive a small portion of the user’s payment.
We implemented a pay-per-use chat bot and considered trying pay-per-use search as well. However, this is just an initial idea and not fully developed yet. For now, we have paused this initiative to focus more on the development of Keychat.
I think there’s a lot of promise in having a sort of sister protocol designed for public notes as well. Very different incentives there. I support 👍
