When you scan the QR code with your Jade it extracts the transaction details internally (since it holds your private keys in its memory) then signs it locally

It then generates a new QR code containing the signed transaction and displays on its own screen, the online wallet scans this QR code from Jade’s screen and broadcasts it to the Bitcoin network.

The QR codes bridge the gap between online and offline for your Jade since it holds your private keys that are encrypted with a PIN and blind oracle

Thank you for explaining that. I have been told that using a cold wallet with Bluetooth tech is not the best practice. Went to Jades site and saw the jade+ has this BT. That being said I like this way of interacting with the internet. What are your thoughts on this?

What I like about the Jade Plus is that Bluetooth is an optional feature. If you’re seeking a more secure transaction you can sign it using QR codes.

USB-C (Jade Link) is another way to sign transactions offline via air-gapped without blue tooth 😎

I personally don’t mind using Bluetooth transactions for smaller amounts. Definitely like to be more secure with bigger amounts

Glad to know there are others out the. God be with you sir.
