Is this a gardening input?

Yes. Highly diluted before use though. And when I pay better attention and toast the shells rather than burn them, and extract into apple cider vinegar, we add it to the chickens water.

That must make a difference with egg shell strength yeah? I learned about it via Korean Natural Farming, haven't seen it in years.

I just give my cluckers crushed up egg shells. I do put apple cider vinegar in their water sometimes

Try and remove the thin skin on the inside of the shell.

Homemade vinegar? Or is there another layer that I'm missing?

Sweet! I just crush em up in the compost and let them decay but this would deliver the precious nutrients faster 🙂

Get a cheap electrical conductivity meter and you will be able to measure the concentration of charged ions in solution. I keep a journal log of all my crazy garden brews
