Zuck is making a move toward less censorship and more free speech.
The most interesting part to me is moving content moderation teams OUT of California and INTO Texas⦠basically just an admission that California is, as a whole, just too damn woke.

Too Little Too Late. FB is a dying platform and he's just trying to save it.
Nostr is the Future š¤
Itās like living behind enemy lines out here⦠but Bitcoin is helping make life beautiful, even in Cališ¤ The dream would be to somehow get this amazing state back to the Reagan years and keep going from there
This is a good move by Zuck but nothing will make me go back from #Nostr. All other social media will continue to have too high of a cost to be part of those networks. The cost is our time
Zuck is so low rizz, but his sentiment is good imo

I'd move my team to a ship in international waters flying whatever flag is the most free
What a viscid soulless hypocrite piece of shit

The move might be a bet on most of them quitting = zero severance costs. Blue hair fact checkers fear nothing more than Texas.
Also, Zuck acts like there's a gun at his head. We can ponder whether Elon would act the same if Dems would have won, or we can just ditch the centralized platforms and finally sail in the open seas.
talk is cheap, moving them may help but lets see what its like once its actually implemented.
I don't really use Meta socials much anyone so not sure if I will notice
Not that I beleive him, but optics count and This trend has been coming for a while. Itās why Iāve been suggesting a different talking point for Nostr for a while. The wind is being taken out of the sails (at least for the time being) of the ācensorship resistantā angle.
We need to keep iterating toward a more compelling narrative for the network effect to take off.
Good topic for us to cover when we finally get around to recording š
Fuck thanks for reminding me. Letās get you on asap.
And I definitely agree. The vast majority of people donāt give a shit about censorship resistance. Yes, we all agree that they *should*, but the reality is they do not.
They may claim to care about some nebulous version of āfree speechā, but not enough to radically change their behavior, at least in the short term.
They want to have fun. They want to be where their favorite āinfluencersā are. They want things to be easy.

Iād say Zucks is growing up. I know weāre psychopaths but he might make an interesting guest along OāDell, Jack D & Callie
