St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, was fishing in the Sea of Galilee when Jesus called him to be an Apostle, saying, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." He left his nets immediately and became the first Apostle to follow Christ. Andrew brought his brother Peter to Christ and preached the Gospel throughout Asia Minor and Greece. He was crucified in Patras on an X-shaped cross.
