Painful when itās a previously well-liked figure, but this seems like something we need to out wherever we find it
Mmm dunno coinkite are probably sick of people ripping off their ideas and code and they are a for profit business. I donāt think the blockclock was ever advertised as FOSS. It is a unique product. Iām sure the people behind BTC clock had good intentions, agree there.
Business is hard. Especially something effectively commoditized (i.e. basically anything open source). People make money in commoditized businesses all the time through other competitive advantages. Like a brand advantage for example, which theyāve effectively fucked up here.
Iāll agree that it seems like an over-reaction given youāre either spending $400 on a blockclock or itās a hard no and BTC Clock looks like a fun project. Iāve considered both as options. Still love NVK and coinkite i donāt think there is a Ledger āwe like to know your seedā of dissonance.
