I talked to the business director of the franchise. She was very new to bitcoin but seemed interested at least in learning about our community and the level of passion we’re bringing to them. I think this was kind of sprung on them suddenly and they weren’t prepared for it.

Remember that in a franchise business each location is independently owned and operated, so it’s more decentralized than a chain that’s completely run by the corporate headquarters. This location also didn’t use the order kiosks like the kind that nostr:npub1csamkk8zu67zl9z4wkp90a462v53q775aqn5q6xzjdkxnkvcpd7srtz4x9 showed us in St. Louis. They just had an iPad with the Speed POS app on it.

At this point, it’s up to bitcoiners to decide to keep up the momentum. If we choose to spend fiat at stores that accept bitcoin, they will eventually lose interest and the exporter will fail.

Agreed. From talking to them it is roughly a 70/30 split with franchisee to corporate owned stores. The boots on the ground locals were much more receptive and shocked at the actual tech — ease, speed, etc.

The thing that did annoy me was zero signage. They could have prepared for that though. I put up a sign at the NLV location myself.
