I really want to hear good critical takes on Bitcoin. That said Paul Sztorc really disappointed me. Kinda blows my mind when people agree to debate and have such weak points. Alex always has receipts and doesn't pretend there aren't tradeoffs. Alex won this hands down.
nostr:npub16le69k9hwapnjfhz89wnzkvf96z8n6r34qqwgq0sglas3tgh7v4sp9ffxj thanks for the show, I’ve listened to Paul Sztorc a number of times, there is maybe something interesting in his ideas (hard forks are an option), but he both articulates them poorly and makes sweeping statements about the alternatives, “Lightning’s failed”, “federations are the worst of both worlds”. We’re, I think that is wrong bongo!
Well done nostr:npub1trr5r2nrpsk6xkjk5a7p6pfcryyt6yzsflwjmz6r7uj7lfkjxxtq78hdpu for staying so calm but also bringing the receipts of all statements made.
It feels like Paul is dealing with a combination of both the best being the enemy of the good with looking for a solution to solve everything, while also putting people off by being a bad messenger.
