I think your default geohash precision (5x5 meters) is way too high. Make it max 5 digits (5x5km) by default.

In Wherostr, we can add a location in 2 methods:

1. From GPS

2. Choose a location on the map.

Regarding your suggestion about the precision of geohash, I will consider adjusting the precision in the GPS method.

Either that or make an alert that the GPS will give people's exact location out.
