Because nostr:npub16qct6ge6zdr72yxrw2cc0rsqyp9j9qrjs9pkz3gkydc839jrtk5sj8al6e is not Chinese. And the world is bigger than we think.☺️

For example I don’t know the most famous English-speaking artist, but I think it’s normal.

yeah prolly

Maybe because Malaysian society is separated into Chinese educated, English educated and Malay educated. It's like three different societies. English educated mostly don't understand mandarin, maybe know a little bit native dialects ie. Cantonese, Hokkien etc.

Yeah. All my Malaysian friends are Chinese and they speak fluently putonghua/Cantonese and English with almost no accent, or neutral accent, which surprised me a lot.

They told me because they went to Chinese school in Malaysia 🇲🇾 and speak Cantonese with their parents.

Do you speak canto?

i went to public government schools and university. i can speak fluently in malay, english with no intermingling dialects

i can speak other languages too

Yes, I speak Cantonese with my family 😊

That's cool. It's an interesting language with rich culture

这其实是几代人的努力的结果,记住语言,保留传统,就不会忘了自己是谁,从哪里来。其实很了不起啊。

oh ok. good

But sometimes music is beyond cultures.😁
