Isn't there a follow button on peoples profile page?
Wait… did I just follow you!?!? I was trying to go follow you to show you what goes wrong and all of the sudden it worked 🤔
Let's hope it sticks! But also, you can take your private key and go use a different app if you still have trouble. I hear nostur is good too.
False alarm, it did not work. I will probably move my private key over to nostur and give it a try then. The magic of Nostr, thanks for the recommendation.
Actually I’m not sure… but before I did have a follow button and when I clicked follow it would just say “following…” or “unfollowing…” but it never stuck if that makes sense
You just tap the follow button on their profile. I see you following zero people. Maybe your profile is broken. There's an emergency fix section in settings that you can visit to see if that helps.
I click the follow button, then it changes to “following…” and if I leave and come back I’m unfollowing them. I’ve waited for like 5 minutes and it never changes from “following…” but for some reason it just doesn’t stay. I’m connected to like the 5 relays they start you with, I can post and see stuff and people can follow me. I will check that out thanks!

Try disconnecting the wallet, and copying the NWC string again.
Which wallet are you installing?
Wallet of Satoshi, it seems like it already disconnected on its own… but it won’t reconnect
