IMHO there’s not really a minimum age to introduce money as a tool to communicate with others, like using coins in a gum machine. But I probably won’t ever do an allowance. At some age when a kid wants to buy his or her own clothes, we plan to hand the reins over to some specific budget stream and say “here’s your ⚡️300 00 each month, have at it.”
