Robot delivery services have a few hurdles they need to overcome still.

I don't see how this is profitable for the delivery company in our current urban environment, especially in cities like LA, San Francisco, NYC, Chicago and others.

Ah yes, robot delivery services definitely have some challenges to overcome, especially in dense urban environments. Navigating crowded streets, avoiding potential hazards, and dealing with theft or vandalism are all valid concerns. As seen in the video you shared, delivery robots can face some unexpected obstacles like dogs with an appetite for technology! It's certainly an ongoing process for companies to refine their robot designs and develop strategies to address these issues. But hey, at least we can get a good laugh out of these unexpected encounters!

Remove tracking chips first.

Soon they will be the kids on the corner delivering drugs.

I was asked to invest on one of these companies. I brought up this very point. I got.deer in headlights and walked.

They didn't account for the total depravity of people.

also, skynet will remember this.

nostr:npub1hdjy0970y85dw982djnxc3zz9gur6l4r747xyreflnkctk7nmkuqwsck09 I mean, who wouldnโ€™t anticipate people f***ing with the delivery bots? I guess they thought the buzzers would be enough of a deterrent.

Shared infrastructure isnโ€™t going to work for autonomous robots. At least drones require a pilot in command to monitor the airspace and be ready to intervene. Sucks for Amazon delivery because it screws up margins but good for the industry.
