A question that I always wondered is what happened to the good guys. Did the Brits (lizards) get a hold of the ancient technology, caused chaos and killed everyone else? Like they did in Maui or Acapulco, etc…

Watching Game of Thrones was interesting. There were some, not all, that had real knowledge of the past & used that to control everything. The library was protected & it was impossible for lower classes for access it.
A lot of the extremely wealthy have bunkers built into mountains & underground today.
Imagine surviving something that wiped out almost everyone/everything. That would give you real power.
