I think the biggest mental hurdle I have to get over moving from the private to public sector is the transparent publication of salary ranges

the immutability and transparency of #bitcoin is something to be heralded, but I still find it problematic having the ability to deduce or look-up people's salaries...

yet it helps under-represented/minority employees "know their worth", keeping their employer more accountable

the key distinction to have - I think - is this:

transparency in earnings,

privacy in savings
