The most painful thing I find about this kind of thing, is the idea that at point of purchase, one steps onto a playing field that continues to shift, rather than stay constant to what one buys

Same with an iPhone eg

How many people have the time & expertise to truly understand the “upgrades”?

It’s like the “inevitable product improvements of the future” are baked in at sale

But are they truly an improvement …?
