wonderful question! what are some films that have genuinely surprised you, that opened up a vocabulary that you didn’t know you wanted to see until you saw it?

It’s happened to me several times, I’m trying to remember specifics. I’ll sleep on it and return later with examples.

As with anything, each of these I came across at a moment when I was particularly thirsty for a change in perspective and they broke me out of a pattern and opened the field up
