The median household price today in the US is ~$400,000. I started buying bitcoin in March of 2023. If i had put roughly $725 of filthy USD into bitcoin at that entry point and held it until now you would have enough for a house free and clear.

Real estate shouldn’t even be an investment. It should be a consumption item.
The money is just so bad that there is a burning need for people in our society to tie up their dollars with something that won’t depreciate so fast and real estate is what most people view as the safest vehicle.
