They are not, it’s probably because our www redirects to http:// instead of https://. They do it to authenticate to the wifi network, so just try https://nostr.build 🐶🐾🫡

So this doesn’t mean images are intercepted over airport WiFi. 😅

They control the DNS so they can direct your client to anything. Since no sane root authority will give them certificate for the random names, you’ll see SSL validation errors. That’s been there since forever 🐶🐾🫡

I did and it still didn’t work

Try accessing Google or any other site, and see if that works 🐶🐾🫡

All other sites worked. For some reason only nostr build wasn’t working. Damus uploads didn’t work. Very odd

I’ll look into it, that shouldn’t be a problem unless the first thing you did is used Damus on that wifi. Your client might have cached DNS resolution and still trying to access the old IP that is failing 🐶🐾🫡

I wonder if DHS mandates blocking certain sites on airport WiFi 😂

If so I think we made some waves.

Not likely, but it maybe filtered as unsafe or something 🐶🐾🤷‍♂️

Same difference in my book. Anything that’s censored is always said to be “unsafe”

Using VPN would help in these cases 🐶🐾🫡

What does ‘curl -k https://nostr.build’ returns?

neverssl worked fine too

I fixed the redirect now to be https, but any public wifi networks may try to display their login crap with the credentials. 🐶🐾🤷‍♂️
