As I understand, that didn't seem possible either until it happened.
And that was a much more coercively cohesive structure than United Plantations of Taxation and Bombing.
I think there's even a Russian book about that, called something like "It was forever, until it ended".

I'd certainly prefer an 'organic' decay (financial fits the bill) but I really dont see it happening. USD is far too embedded in global finance on so many levels. The Money Magicians are truly brilliant and purely sadistic. They will do anything to maintain its global use. And with Tether becoming the biggest holder of treasuries, it will persist since UDT is global. And every time the empire 'brings democracy' more will be driven to stsble coins. I am advocating nothing specific, but we need more drastic measures than merely 'not complying' and 'hodling'. Personally, I am not trying to live the rest of my life avoiding 'Smiths' and dodging 'bullets'. Living in a constant state of reaction to tyranny is really no different than physical bondage.
Unfortunately, not practical to do much besides what Legalman suggests and avoiding every type of tax;
their superpower since the beginning of their racket is ability to coerce unlimited amounts of money - directly and indirectly through inflation by deficit spending.
The only practical way for most to avoid all their taxes is to leave their territory.
Otherwise, even street beggars there are forced to pay the blob when they use the pence they collect to buy a coffee or whatever.
There are many expats - young and old - from Europe, UK, US, Australia, NZ doing that all over the Global South.

Honestly, there is no other nation I would ever want to live in. They are all shit and they are all authoritarian and they all steal your money. And none will let me bring my guns. When it comes down to it, literally nothing matters more than that to me. And I love the area I am in. The US is huge and the majority if it is nothing like what you likely think it is. Plus no other nation has state and local governments that can and do push back against federal tyranny. For all its flaws, I still see no better option
