Can someone explain this to me?

Why would Bulgaria give up it's sovereignty to join the EU? And don't say defense, the EU has no military power.

Military power isnt determined only by dollars spent. But most likely it is to join the common market and the development subsidies.

Ah, but they're already a EU member. Why they are joining the euro I can only explain with bad decision making
