I told people that I got into bitcoin because I didn’t like money, and when I found out about bitcoin I realized that it wasn’t money I disliked, it was the bankers money. But, I didn’t realize the source of that dislike until a memory of my childhood popped into my head years later. I was probably around seven standing next to my mother frantically crying in the bank. They wouldn’t let her cash her alimony check.
I wonder sometimes if that was the trauma that gave me a deep distrust of the monetary system.
Thats true for me. The institution that ass-reamed me was higher education as well as the 9-5. I thought there was something wrong with me until I found bitcoin.
