I hear they're attempting to bring it back

Some Australian palaeontologist has extracted DNA from a preserved thylacine specimen. So, It's possible I think.

Dodo bird seems possible but the whooly mammoth is totally different game. Maybe one, who knows

I think they are trying to repopulate the American Buffalo too. Albeit not โ€œextinctโ€ officially, it might as well be.
