I mean, I understand the frustration but giving up on a descriptor because some people co-opted it to mean something else is just giving them a bit of a victory. I mean, the term "gay" used to mean "jovial", "exuberant", "exceedingly happy" but now people only think it means "homosexual", and that's because people let the term change into something it wasn't supposed to mean.

Point I'm trying to make is that calling Bitcoin crypto(currency) is not a negative thing, in my book. If you don't want to call it that, that's fine, but that doesn't change the fact that it's factually a cryptocurrency. You don't see me ditching the "Tea" in my name just because some vengeful feminists co-opted the word for their ridiculous doxxing app.
