#Demurrage encourages #consolidation thereby decreasing the size of the #blockchain state allowing for new clients to sync faster incentivizing a more# distributed / #decentralized network that can actually #scale and propagate to the whole world.

But its not a "hOdL fEe". It's simply a practical way to ensure the state size of bitcoin does not explode subsequently ruining its necessary decentralized core elements.

It must be explained rationally, there much work to be done to come up with a proper proposal to Bitcoin that would enable this improvement. Nevertheless trying to force it on people in the form of an implied fee is nonsense, in the utopian scenario no one would ever be charged for it and everyone would just consolidate within a fixed timeframe that they agree to upfront like every 4 years of blocks for example.

If youre against it you have no clue what issues are actually facing bitcoin from a software design perspective and also likely dont run a full node, a lightning node, and likely do not mine or understand how mining works.
