A block stream jade is a great alternative to ledger and or trezor. It’s open source and affordable. The cold card is another alternative Altho more expensive. I use both.

As a side note trezor has had vulnerabilities in the past interestingly found by ledger.

Ouch, so i maybe stay with Ledger for now.

But im interested in that nostr:npub1jg552aulj07skd6e7y2hu0vl5g8nl5jvfw8jhn6jpjk0vjd0waksvl6n8n jade, they sended me a video and it looked really cool 🫶🏻

Also I will check that cold cards 🧡

Thanks lot bro 😎

Definitely. Best answer.

Every device, every software will have vulnerabilities. The key here is, that they (Trezor) have a healthy attitude towards them. They fix them as they learn about them and they do have a bug bounty program, which, afaik works pretty well.

I don't know the situation with Ledger, hopefully they do have something similar in place.

This was my point. Ledger have their own team called the dungeon. All they do is look for hacks in their own devices as well as others. They found the trezor one not trezor itself. I’m not saying I would use ledger but do give Cudos where it’s deserved.

U both guys having point 🫶🏻Love it and thanks, but look what happened to me with that ledger now wtf I don’t get it.

I’m not sure how that works. Just reach out to ledger support. I believe they are fairly responsive. No point asking people that are only guessing probably best to get it from the horses mouth

Yeah facts, but probably I will be waiting weeks for answer haha 😆

But idk how that even can happen, bcs if someone steal your ledger and it works like this. They can easily steal your btc withou knowing your words 😭

I need to look at Reddit or browse google

I am assuming it is in your ledger live app on your computer. If you went to a new computer and or deleted all ledger live data then I’m sure the issue will be gone

I’m going to do this right now, we will see bro. I got that idea too lol 🧡🫂

Also please share back your findings here as I know a lot of people use ledger. It will be helpful for the community.

That dada was from Ledger live app as u wrote, u were right 🫂🧡

U going to get zapped ⚡️

Idk how i could be naive like that 🤣🤣🤣

I literally thought that these data are from Nano X and somehow I bugged it 🫂

Thanks for your help

Glad you worked it out

Check out Tangem as well.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Ledger the hardware. Their app is terrible for privacy, but security-wise you're probably fine.

The issue most people have with ledger is that:

1. It's a shitcoin wallet and so has greater attack surface for malicious actors to exploit

2. It's supposed to be a security-centric company but their decisions led to a leak where something like 180k customers had their personal identifiable information and physical addresses leaked to the dark web.

So I wouldn't trust them to manage my data, I wouldn't trust their Ledger Live service not to compromise my privacy, and I wouldn't use their hardware because I can't bring myself to put my faith in them.

But if those are not concerns and you just want to know about whether the hardware will secure your coin, I think you are probably fine. I'd still recommend looking at alternatives at some point though, but I'm also super paranoid 🤷

Wow, thanks for that meaningful response 🧡🫂

I’ll stay with ledger for now until the next Trezor device ✅

That may take a while. I still have the first Trezor that came out and it still does it's job as expected. With cold wallets it's not like with smartphones. There is no need to pump out a new model every year or so.
