Eh, tax as a concept is a way of financing aspects of society that aren't inherently profitable or that shouldn't be profitable. Like a military is expensive as fuck, it generates no money, and we sure as fuck don't want oligarchs like Elon Musk to have their own, but we can probably agree that not getting the piss bombed out of us by Russia or China is pretty great.

Tax codes as they're currently implemented, though, 100% correct. Oligarchs pay a tiny fraction relative to what we plebs pay. Someone who already has money and desperately depends upon social structures funded by taxes aren't requires to pay in in a meaningful way, but those who might be ABLE to become rich some day get hit hard by taxes.
