Wait, what if we didn't change the rules of the financial system every other month?

Bonkers. What would that even look like?

Orange I think, what do you think

I see a permissionless, decentralized network of nodes enforcing a stable set of rules governing the sovereign transfer of bits of information stored in a data structure that is rendered immutable by a worldwide effort to turn physical watts into digital security.

But also maybe tulips.

that's beautiful but it will never work, someone will just throw limitless watts and computing power to extract all the value at once

It's just Bernie Madoff's The "Empire Strikes Back".

Yeah you're right. There'd need to be some kind of mechanism that adjusts the diffculty of writing transactions to the chain. But how would people even get their tokens to transfer in the first place?

Good point, no fair way to issue and distribute. Was a nice thought I guess...

too bad there's no way to earn coins with provable work

Nope. No way to let the people processing transactions earn a reward for their effort. You'd just add an infinite number of tokens to the system. It'll never work.

Even if it worked, the government would just ban it.

💯 they'd never acknowledge much less adopt something that so obviously undermines the power of the federal reserve cartel. Never in a million years.

We'll just have to change the rules every month and it's ok that every market had to guess at financial decisions years out. Good way to allocate capital

What a great point, not only is it impossible but it would just be banned. No government would accept such an atrocious waste of energy

Say they did accept it. No doubt they'd just change the rules to suit them. It's just software after all.

Definitely. The rules would change and someone would invent a better version

Yeah.

Well, bummer none of that worked out. Guess we have to predict the future by the color of Jpowell's tie till the end of time.

Seriously though, sometimes I think about where I'd be without Bitcoin, and it's nothing pleasant.

Yes my friend

Are there rules for the rulers?

trick question, we don't need rulers in the financial system 🤣

😂 the cia is mostly bankers.

that makes the hair in my back stand up 🤢

Ya. Reading this book about Allen Dulles and the formation of the CIA. The sole purpose is to ensure financial dominance here and abroad by the power elite. I mean we all know it, but when you get the details over decades presented in an orderly way it still hits hard. 🤯

The crazy thing I struggle with is the question of if I was in there shoes what would I do.

I'm woefully ignorant, will have to read it

did the book cover how Dulles laundered the Bush family’s investments in Nazi Germany back into the States?

We haven’t gotten in to the bushes yet. The booked started out with nazi Germany and all of the intricate ties with the US financial system. The Dulles were big wigs with Sullivan and Cromwell law firm whose clients were all of the big international companies. Protecting these companies interests was/is the objective. It did get into how they appropriated the Nazi loot that they stole from Jews to basically fund the beginnings of the CIA.

i was shocked at first. then i started asking myself why i was shocked. the answers were illuminating
