I was able to hold out from getting an iPhone until 2019 (went from a Blackberry in 2010 to a simple flip) - when my children’s school required a specific app to receive communications. Even my car insurance company now requires use of their app to report an incident for roadside assistance. So many apps could be deleted as an experiment but in some cases you will be cut off from an organization/ company you need to access.
