That depends on your app, apps could just drop the old standard, but then you might miss messages from people who haven't upgraded yet.

So White Noise is a standalone service and our messages there will be separate from my messages in Primal. But my nsec will work on both

Hopefully Primal will implement the marmot protocol, and then White Noise users can talk to Primal users.

I think marmot protocol use post compromised security and forward secrecy, so you can receive message just on a single device/app
