$300 sounds expensive, at least it sounds like he let you keep your license so you weren't too bad then.

When speeding, it's good to find the happy medium of how much you're willing to pay for a ticket, and keep it below the limit they might have in that area for suspending the license.

We visited Scottsdale (Phoenix) and people were driving 55-60 in a 40 zone, and it seemed normal to them. I'm guessing they don't often pull people over for speeding there.

We once talked to a cop in Boston cause everyone speeds there too, and he said that the only time people night get pulled over (unless recklessly speeding), is when the new recruits get unleashed and they're super zealous.

Maybe this is why it was a 22 year old, cause he was new 🤔
