Is it possible to access YT videos privately? I plan to look more into Nostr alternatives but there are some things that are so useful on YT.

When I try on Tor and without a YT account the search function doesn't work, which basically makes it useless.

Its not truely private but with a VPN and NewPipe you can use YT with a lot more privacy

thank you! I have a VPN, but since there doesn't seem to be a way to connect to YT without an account I figured it didn't make much of a difference.

I guess I could make an account with a more private email address - hadn't thought of that.

Will look into NewPipe - haven't hear of that.

You don't need an account. You can use new pipe or invidious without an account

Grayjay is a solid option. I recommend downloading everything you watch
