Nostr readers zapped about USD 50 to me for this post about the history's most famous crime. This was more than what X paid me for a whole month of content contribution. 50K viewed it on X. I posted it on Facebook too, the engagement was OK, but significantly lower than on X. Nostr wins hands down.

By the way, I think a proper long note would have worked here as well. Personally, I definitely prefer long notes over threads to read.
What's the benefit of having this content in a thread?
Is there some engagement on the child notes that couldn't be done on the parent note otherwise? Maybe some Nostriches do not engage easy with long notes?
Anyway, a thread initially was just a workaround required in legacy social media due to character limitations and the way algos worked.
Although, I might see the benefit if there is additional engagement triggerd on the child notes.
