Ah it uses the preview.redd.it link. I wonder if that gets deleted too when mods delete the post.
The image is uploaded on nostr though. Should be unrelated to what happens on Reddit no?
I'm looking at the image links on the greentext bot. In the notes, the image links go to that preview.redd.it site.
So when you load the note, the image shows up, but the data is from reddit's servers. Still, it's a major improvement cause you can see the pics directly in your client and save them.

I get the rss feed from Reddit. Then I use go-nostrss to convert that rss feed to posts on nostr through a keypair. An update to go-nostrss was made yesterday that lets me fetch the image from the rss feed and post it on nostr. I had to do a hit pull and then update the config file
