Just received an email from the tax collector demanding an explanation for my incomes in 2023.

Sent it and the vast majority wasn't even an income, it was just me depositing cash I'd previously withdrawn because I had unforeseen expenses, moving money between accounts, an insurance policy that I'd cashed out, and some returns other people have made to my bank account because I'd bought something for them.

And it's not even that big of an income, I'm utterly ashamed to even say how little it was in total.

And they say we live in a free world... they can see every transaction I make on my bank accounts.

yeah, this is why i don't take my pay into my bank connected wallet (xapo) but rather to my own unhosted bitcoin node lol

the less they see the better is my life

i first encountered this acquisitive tendency of government bureaucrats wearing badges over their monopoly on medicines and over time learn about more and more ways in which they continue to increase their graspiness and my interest in being victim of this is zero

thus i am a nomad seeking lands where the tax collectors are not as empowered

even better, to live in a place where if one knocks on my door he probably wont because he expects a shotgun blast to emanate from the other side of the door and end his miserable thieving ife

I receive my paycheck from my day job to my bank account, no other option for me atm. But that's already "blessed" by the tax collection agency, so that wasn't a problem. I suspect life insurance piqued their "curiosity".
