How fast is it when you query it for text? I saw a significant drop in speed when they introduced the companions a few weeks back. (Even when theyāre completed turned off)
You might have been defaulting to Grok 4, which I noticed takes longerā¦ I mean āthinks harder.ā š I kept it set to Grok 3 which is good enough for most things I ask it. The more recent app update has an āAutoā setting which seems to be working well. It supposedly picks the best model for what youāre asking it.
Ah the auto feature wasnāt out when I was subscribed. GPT has that too now. They move fast! They must know people switch around. Iāll keep an eye on grok. Might switch back later. Things I really like about gpt are the memory, I find it does a better job at using it for newer requests than grok. Also blending multiples images together. And the Pepes of course šš¤š¾
Iāve only used GPT free version, but until now Iāve preferred it over Grok for images. I may still prefer it, but Grok has definitely improved a lot for images.
Yeah the gpt image model has gotten a massive upgrade in the last few months. For videos, so far I find what youāve shown from grok is phenomenal. I havenāt been able to do something decent with gpt yet. Maybe Iām doing it wrong though. Iām trying in app but the good stuff might be web based. Not sure. But yeah the fact that grok goes uncensored for the text on the images is pretty cool. Less need to edit with Inshot afterwards.
