Not at all. Steemit is it's own chain, but nearly the entire community has migrated over to Hive.io after a power struggle.

I moved on to #Hive and off of Steemit with the hardfork. No regrets! Have you checked out Hive?
No one is still on Steemit. They (we) have all moved to Hive (hive.io).

By the way, being Web3 as well, many folks on Hive know about Nostr. They're welcoming to other Web3 endeavors like Nostr.
