I read up a bit about Wire and that is definitely not the way to go. Any thoughts on Tox and perhaps Element especially in comparison to Signal and SimpleX?

I'm using Element for some time already.
Privately run on our own server.
Works pretty well.cAnd more over it can integrate/bridge almost all other services, including WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal or even Twitter DMs, so I'm using basically one app only for all communication.
The app might be not as polished as mainstream apps but works and have actually more functionalities. In some ways it's similar more to Teams.
That is really cool. Do you have any insight into the security implications of integrating less secure/more intrusive messengers such as WhatsApp or the Twitter DMs?
I'm not a security guy, so my understanding is limited but from what I know logically the outside part is secure same as external service.
But it doesn't compromise your security inside.
Já jsem opustila Element, protože v kombinaci mac+android dělal bordel. Na mobilu mi přestával ukazovat věci s tím, že se čeká na security potvrzení a tak. Takže mi chodily zprávy, ale neviděla jsem je👏 Muž s tím problém neměl, snad to bylo fakt kombinací těch dvou přístrojů.
To je docela zásadní problém. Predpokládám, že jsi to nikam nehlásila, či?
Ale houby. To jsme ještě zkoumali nastavení serveru, dělali stále nějaké pokusy, atp. Funguje to naprosto v pohodě na všech zařízeních. Mac, iPhone, Win, Android
