Fossil fuels are good for civilization. And maybe have some pros for the environment. But to say they are net good for the environment??? That might be swinging too far the other direction. But I'm not an expert and open to changing my mind.

Miners are lowering emissions in agriculture, building heating, oil & gas, & waste management - in some cases they're carbon negative (ie remove more carbon, below zero carbon). They're helping finance low carbon grid infrastructure too, from Africa to Texas
