I’m reading Jason Lowery’s “Softwar” thesis and it’s making sense so far. I saw a lot of backlash to it earlier on Nostr. Why don’t people like it?

Think the opposition’s main point is it paints #bitcoin as an offensive weapon when many view it as a defensive tool.

Sure, it imposes a physical cost on opponents. I think the point was made during an interview on the WiM Show that in the real world the line between offense and defense is extremely blurred. Walls and fortresses can be used offensively and armies can be used defensively.

Agreed.

And I agree with you of not sure why so much hate his way. Haven’t finished the book but enjoyed his view.

Maybe think of it as a “Counter-offensive “ tool father than an “Offensive tool.”

I find it hard to believe the naysayers have read the entire thesis. I am reading it as well (slow going), makes sense to me so far. The naysayers prefer kinetic war?

That might make sense. Maybe people are reacting to a bad caricature of the thesis.
