I think Erdogan was just instrumental in denying Russia a Mediterranean port. This will not be forgotten.
Russia gained a Black Sea port and drove millions of Syrian refugees into Turkey.
So, now they lost a Mediterranean port and the Syrian refugees are being sent home.
Seems fair enough.
