I got hired at Radioshack in 2014.
On my second day they announced my store was closing...
seriously?
Completely seriously.
Dudes from corporate came into the store as I was about to start on some more training videos in the office and announced the store was closing.
My manager apologized to me for wasting my time by hiring me, but said I could stick around for the next couple days to help empty the store if I wanted.
Spent the next couple days emptying the store of merchandise that was being transferred to other stores, and that was the end of my career at RadioShack.
Needless to say, RadioShack never made it onto my resume, but it's been a great story ever since. 😂

I was a little disappointed as it was only my second job and I was excited to try something new, but ultimately I didn't have too much time to get attached to the job in the span of the week of my employment there.
It is a rather hilarious story though!
I still smile every time I see or hear anything about RadioShack, thinking about the experience.
