For minibits I found it automatically works. Could be wrong in other use cases.
Clients should add the option to send ecash to an npub's @npub.cash wallet

I think all npubs get an npub.cash address by default ... so I remember. Like mine would be mynpubkey@npub.cash. So it's simply a matter of adding that option to all clients ... sending ecash to their npub.cash address
