Hoping the pump doesn't start yet - not worried for myself, my life's fairly cool, but I want my friends and family to have more time and chances.

Same here but they had ample time. How long? 12 years now?

Unfortunately we cannot force others to do better for themselves. Trust me, we've both tried. Eventually you have to let your friends and family do their thing or you'll damage the relationship(s).

They'll still be early. Whenever they get it.
We're just extra early. But less early than the others who were super early. 😮💨
Yeah, it just bugs me that even now people have to wait for the near top to work up the enthusiasm and then inevitably don't enjoy the ride back down
I think we're seeing how well the propaganda machine works. Seeing the very obvious requires intellect, focus, & and patience. Lots of things at play to make it hard to be all three.
